Become a Volunteer

We invite you to volunteer during our on-air fund drives. Groups, individuals and businesses can all contribute to evening and weekend shifts for PBA30 membership drives. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available for WABE 901.FM’s drives. Training will be provided.

Group Opportunities

Social and civic organizations, schools, corporations and local businesses are invited to volunteer support during our fund drives. Opportunities include answering the phones and becoming Challenge Grant Partners. We request:

• 25-30 volunteers during WABE 90.1FM drives
• 15-20 volunteers during PBA 30 drives

Individual Opportunities

Public Broadcasting Atlanta invites you to join our family of volunteers, to help out during our fund drives as well as at events around town. We are looking for some dedicated individuals to fill these positions:

• Greeter - to greet guests and assist the pledge coordinator at pledge drives.
• Special Events Team Member - to go onsite and help at PBA events around town.
• Viewer Services Assistant - to respond to viewer concerns.
• Mailing Team Member - to help with big mailings.
• Secretarial/Clerical Aide - to help with word processing and filing.
• Pledge Supervisor - to take responsibility for a team of volunteers taking pledges during a drive.
• On-Call Troubleshooter - to be ready on short notice to pitch in for an emergency.

Restaurant Opportunities

We invite you to join our team of restaurants that generously donate food for our fund drives and special events.
