He fought Indians, worked as a Pony Express rider, and earned his nickname while hunting buffalo and scouting for the U.S. Army in the frontier. This special takes a look at his life, and how he eventually transformed himself into a master showman, creating and starring in the world-famous traveling show that brought the “real” Wild West to life.
