Author Bernie Schein On His Lifelong Friendship With Pat Conroy

Best selling author Pat Conroy was known for his novels The Great Santini and The Water is Wide, among others. Fellow author Bernie Schein forged a close friendship with Conroy in high school that lasted until Conroy’s death in 2016.

Schein joined “Cty Lights” earlier this month to talk about his latest book, “Pat Conroy: Our Lifelong Friendship.” He began by talking about the day that he and Conroy first met.
