6 Christmas-Themed Pop-Up Shops, Bars In Atlanta

The holiday season is in full swing, and Christmas is just around the corner. If you’re craving an eggnog or you want to shop for a handcrafted gift, check out these Christmas-themed pop-ups in the Atlanta area.

Miracle on Monroe

Open now until Dec. 24

Location: Midtown Atlanta and Buckhead

Last year, Miracle on Monroe was a big hit in Midtown Atlanta. So this year, the organizers have opened a second location in Buckhead. The pop-up bar will be open five days a week (excluding Mondays and Tuesdays). The bars will be decked with “over-the-top Christmas decorations,” Atlanta Magazine reported. They will serve a variety of Christmas-themed cocktails and shots. Cocktails are $12 each, and shots are $5 each.

Holiday Sip ‘N Shop

Open 12 p.m.- 4 p.m. on Dec. 16. and Dec. 23

Location: Atlanta, Accent Waterworks

Although Miracle on Monroe is about the only Christmas-themed pop-up bar in Atlanta, some pop-up shops will be serving drinks as well. For example, Holiday Sip ‘N Shop, hosted by Accent Waterworks on Northside Drive, will serve drinks from local breweries as shoppers meander through the apartment community’s lobby. Local businesses will also be set up in the lobby to sell their products, and there will be a different set of businesses every week.

Project Pop Up 2017

Open Dec. 15, 6 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

Location: Atlanta, Ria’s Bluebird

Ria’s Bluebird, a restaurant serving brunch and lunch on Memorial Drive, will provide a space for local artisans to sell their work while the restaurant serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to shoppers. The Facebook event page says it is kid-friendly.

Indie Craft Experience

Open now until Dec. 23.

Location: Candler Park

In Candler Park, Indie Craft Experience will showcase handcrafted gifts made by local and national artists. The holiday pop-up shop began in 2010, according to its website. Hours will change in December so check the event page to see opening times.

Root City Holiday Pop-Up Shop

Open now until Dec. 23.

Location: Downtown Decatur

Root City’s Holiday Pop-Up Shop will sell gifts from local artisans. According to the website, the inventory changes weekly. You’ll find chocolates, jewelry, fine art, decorations, soaps and more.

Holiday Market Pop Up

Open Dec. 2, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Location: Atlanta, Scout & Arrow

Local artisans will be selling their work at Scout & Arrow, an Atlanta-based company that sells handcrafted products from around the U.S. According to the Facebook event, Scout & Arrow is partnering with five other local business (Do Good Clothing Company, KALÓN Botanicals, Jennifer Lesley Design, Grandiflora Textiles and The Whelan Girls) for the Holiday Market Pop Up. Katie Savage, owner of Scout & Arrow said via email that Whelan Girls will wrap gifts for shoppers for a small fee and Scout & Arrow will remain open until 5 p.m. after the pop up closes.
