The Alliance Theatre’s Palefsky Collision Project Offers Young Playwrights Guidance

The Palefsky Collision Project gives the teens an opportunity to explore classics theatre material under the guidance of a professional playwright.

Each summer, the Alliance Theatre selects a group of 20 teenagers from the Atlanta area to participate in The Palefsky Collision Project. The project gives the teens an opportunity to explore classics theatre material under the guidance of a professional playwright. They are then tasked with creating their own new piece inspired by their experiences and through what they have learned while participating.

Playwright in Resident Pearl Cleage joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes for a conversation about the Palefsky Project, and what it is like looking over all of those scripts for the students.
