The Fulton County Jail continues to deal with the issue of overcrowding.

There’s room for 2,500 inmates. But on any given day, jail officials say the facility holds 300 to 400 more.

This puts the chief jailer in a position of running the lockup as efficiently as possible.

Col. Mark Adger says it’s not easy.

“Morning Edition” host Lisa Rayam and producer Maria White Tillman visited the jail recently  to see firsthand how Adger manages the politics involved and the overflow.
