From Batman to the Guardians of the Galaxy, superheroes we know and love will be on display in a rare exhibit.

Comic book fanatics can see original drawings by some of the most famous artists in the industry at the “Superhero Icons: An Original Comic Book Art Exhibition” at Infinite Realities: Comics, Games & More on Saturday, Dec. 7.

“City Lights” producer Summer Evans sat down with Chris Brennaman, co-owner of the comic book store. He was joined by comic book collector Benno Rothschild and Dexter Vines, a comic book artist and inker.

About a year ago, Brennaman opened the store with partners Brandon Mealor and Jami Jones. The mission was to be a community shop for both creators and comic book fans alike.

This upcoming exhibit is just one of the many events that Brennaman holds at his shop in order to bring the comic book community together.

“I really wanted to do an exhibit to showcase this art and luckily I was introduced to Benno, who has an amazing art collection, and he also shares the vision of letting other people admire the work,” said Brennaman.

There will be original superhero artwork by famous artists like Wayne Boring, who created one of the first Superman drawings, along with Jack Kirby, Gene Colan, John Buscema and many others. Local illustrators, pencilers and inkers will also be in attendance.
