Airplane Love: The DC-9’s Final Flight, as Described by WABE’s Jim Burress
On January 6, 2014, Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines flew a DC-9 from Minneapolis to Atlanta. It was the final flight for a DC-9, which has been in service since the mid-1960’s. Fans of the DC-9 made sure they were among the passengers on its final trip. Among them was WABE’s Jim Burress, who spoke with WABE’s Denis O’Hayer from Minneapolis as he prepared to climb aboard.
