Dr. Jayne Morgan, a cardiologist and the clinical director for Piedmont Healthcare’s COVID-19 Task Force, vaccinations are the way out of the COVID-19 crisis.

“The longer and longer it takes for the majority of the population to get vaccinated, the more opportunity this virus has to mutate,” explained Morgan on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look.”

Morgan talked with show host Rose Scott about the difference between mutations and variants.

The veteran doctor further discussed the ongoing push to get more Georgians vaccinated now that the Food and Drug Administration has given full approval of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

“A singular decision is also a decision for many,” said Dr. Morgan.
