The Atlanta Braves will play their first spring training game Friday.

So far, the team has had a rough offseason.

A few months ago, Braves General Manager John Coppolella got banned from baseball for life, and the team lost 13 prospects. That was over rules violations. Team President John Hart was stripped of power and then resigned.

The new GM is Alex Anthopoulos, and his great hope is Ronald Acuña. The 20-year-old outfielder from Venezuela was last year’s Minor League player of the year. He’s also ranked as the top prospect in baseball.

To make room for him, the Braves traded Matt Kemp to the Dodgers. They got four new players and cash in return.

Last year was the Braves’ first season in their new stadium, and they didn’t break .500.
