In Atlanta, Championship Could Be Biggest Game In College Football History

On Jan. 8, the winner of the Rose Bowl will face the winner of the Sugar Bowl in the national college football
championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Atlanta is about to host the biggest college football game in the city’s and possibly college football history.

According to this week’s Atlanta Business Chronicle, the game could have the biggest economic impact, the most expensive tickets and the greatest level of fan interest of any college football game ever played.

The winner of the Rose Bowl will face the winner of the Sugar Bowl in the national championship. The proximity of three of the schools to Atlanta — Georgia, Clemson (in South Carolina) and Alabama — could create an atmosphere here that no other sporting event has seen.

The game is Jan. 8 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
