The 91st Academy Awards will air at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24 on ABC. There are 24 categories of awards given, among them, Best Original Score and Best Original Song.

“It’s a rich offering of musically diverse and well-crafted scores and songs this year,” said Scott Stewart, music contributor and host of WABE’s “Strike Up The Band.” “Of course it’s big publicity and big bucks for the nominees and winners, but film music buffs are all lucky to be able to take in all these fantastic compositions regardless of the results.”

The nominees are:

“BLACKKKLANSMAN” — Terence Blanchard

“IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK” — Nicholas Britell
