Drive-Thru Testing For Coronavirus Underway In Cobb County — By Invitation Only
Drive-thru coronavirus testing is underway in Cobb County.
As WABE’s Maria White Tillman reports, the testing isn’t open to everyone, and it’s done by invitation only.
Coronavirus drive-thru testing is taking place at Marietta’s Jim R. Miller Park.
Testing is reserved for high-risk Georgia residents with symptoms who work in health care and nursing homes and for educators and first responders.
Once on site, people drive up and are greeted by medical staff in full protective attire. They’re given a series of swabs and tests.
Officials encourage those experiencing mild symptoms to isolate at home and to treat symptoms with over-the-counter medicine.
