‘Coffee Conversations’ Panelists Discuss Food Insecurity, Hunger In Georgia
The COVID-19 pandemic has left millions of families without stable employment throughout the country.
For the December edition of “Coffee Conversations with Rose Scott,” the host talks with nonprofit leaders, a state leader and other experts working to combat food insecurity and hunger in Georgia.
During the virtual roundtable, panelists discussed the ongoing challenges in fighting the hunger crisis.
The guests shared information about existing programs aimed at fighting hunger in unserved communities and the state’s recent move to allow people receiving SNAP benefits to shop online for groceries.
Panelists also shared ways state leaders, nonprofits and other organizations can work together to combat food insecurity.
