Colin Mochrie Of ‘Whose Line’ Returns To Dad’s Garage

Dad’s Garage Theatre Company is jumping into the second weekend of a celebrity double-header!

After hosting Kids in the Hall’s Dave Foley last week, the improv theater welcomes back Colin Mochrie, whom you may know from his years in the cast of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”

The comedian has made numerous appearances on the Dad’s stage.

“The improvisers there are just amazing, all of them. They’re world-class-caliber,” Mochrie tells “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes. “It’s just a great feeling when you go in there and work with everyone.”

“It sounds cliche, but it really is like a big family,” he says. “Everyone is so supportive with everyone’s ideas and trying to make everyone look better, which is what you’re supposed to do as an improviser. It really is a feeling that is unlike any other improv troupe around.”

“…From what I’ve seen,” Mochrie jokingly adds. “Maybe once I go, it reverts back to normal?” Here, Dad’s artistic director Kevin Gillese chimes in.

“Oh for sure, guaranteed.”

The Dad’s Garage family will perform with Mochrie on Aug. 17 and 18, for two shows a night, at 8 and 10:30 p.m.
