Conductor Henrik Nanasi Reflects On Creating Authentic Hungarian Music

Tomorrow night in Symphony Hall, guest conductor Henrik Nanasi returns to lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a program of Romantic Eastern European works.

“City Lights” host Lois Reitzes spoke with the Hungarian born Maestro about what makes this particular piece, the Dances of Galanta authentically Hungarian.

You can see the Hungary and Russian works, titled “Slavic Delight!”, at the Woodruff Arts Center tomorrow evening at 8 p.m.

The program will being with the Dances of Galanta and conclude with Tchaikovsky’s towering “Fat” Symphony No. 4.
