Deadline To Register For Primary Elections Is Upon Us

April 24 is the deadline to register to vote in Georgia’s May primary elections, and there will be plenty on the primary ballots.
Georgia Republicans have to narrow down a pool of seven gubernatorial candidates: Casey Cagle, Eddie Hayes, Hunter Hill, Brian Kemp, Clay Tippins, Marc Urbach and Michael Williams. Democrats will pick their nominee from two candidates: Stacey Abrams and Stacey Evans.
Other statewide races with multiple options on each party’s primary ballot? The offices of Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State School Superintendent and Commissioner of Insurance.
This November, all of the state’s executive offices, the entire General Assembly and all 14 of Georgia’s U.S. House of Representatives seats are up for election.
