DeKalb CEO Shares Details Of New COVID-19 Vaccination Program For Homebound Seniors

DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond recently announced the launch of a new county COVID-19 vaccination program for homebound seniors.

Efforts are underway throughout the state to get more Georgians vaccinated.

This is the first full week any Georgian over the age of 16 years old is eligible for vaccination.

In DeKalb County, local officials announced a new program Tuesday that aims to vaccinate homebound seniors.

It’s a collaborative effort between the county’s fire department and senior services agency.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” DeKalb’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael Thurmond, joined host Rose Scott to share more details.
