Sheriff Jeffrey Mann entered his plea this afternoon in Atlanta Municipal Court.

An Atlanta police officer caught Mann, back in May, exposing himself in Piedmont Park. Mann then ran away from the officer.

Mann was originally charged with indecency.

Atlanta Municipal Judge Crystal A. Gains banned Mann from Atlanta’s parks for six months.

“We are going to serve you with that banishment today,” Gains said. “That banishment will include all city parks that are listed by the department of park and recreations.

Mann also has to pay $2,000 in fines and court fees. According to court documents, he’s already served 81 and half hours of community service at Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless.

Mann has apologized for the negative attention his arrest has brought DeKalb County. He served a self-imposed, one-week suspension last month before being suspended for 40 days by Gov. Nathan Deal.
