It’s a special and emotional week for everyone at WABE. Denis O’Hayer, host of “Morning Edition,” is stepping away from full time work.
Denis has been a fixture in Atlanta media for more than 40 years working in various roles at local television and radio stations. We were lucky enough to get him at WABE back in 2009. He’s hosted “All Things Considered,” helped launch “Closer Look”, then came to “Morning Edition.”
On his final day in the host seat, Rose Scott, host of “Closer Look” took a moment to ask Denis about his career. Listen to the full interview with Rose and Denis above. Below, hear Denis sign off for a final time.
