Early Voting underway For Atlanta Mayor, Other Local Elections

Early voting began Monday for county, city, and a few special state elections around metro Atlanta, and will last until Nov. 3.

Atlanta residents will choose a new mayor, city council, and school board.

Fulton County votes on a new chairman. DeKalb County voters will decide on a one-cent special purpose local option sales tax to fund initiatives for transportation, public safety, and parks.

Throughout the metro area, voters will choose new city leaders. In a few places, there are special elections to replace Georgia legislators who resigned.

In Fulton County, early voting for municipal and special elections will take place Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m., at the following locations:

Weekend voting will take place Oct. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Oct. 29 from Noon to 5 p.m.

In DeKalb County, early voting will take place Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Voter Registration & Elections Office: 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, Ga. 30032
  • Bessie Banham Recreation Center: 2015 Delano Drive NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30317
  • Dunwoody Library: 5339 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, Ga. 30338

Saturday voting will be Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
