- 1:07: Director Barry Jenkins, known for his film “Moonlight,” joins Lois Reitzes to discuss his film adaptation of “If Beale Street Could Talk,” a novel by James Baldwin.
- 29:16: Reitzes talks with Judith Jamison, artistic director emerita of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Jamison joined the modern dance company in 1965 and served as artistic director after Alvin Ailey’s death in 1989 until 2011.
- 44:44: Detroit native and preacher’s daughter Pearl Cleage joined us to share her own memories and stories of Aretha Franklin.
