City Lights: ‘Children of Eden;’ Black Cat Tips; And ‘Never Have I Ever’

Thursday on “City Lights with Lois Reitzes:”

  • 1:19: “Children of Eden” is Aurora Theatre’s current production on stage now through Sept. 1. The Stephen Schwartz musical gives an interesting twist the book of Genesis. Lois Reitzes spoke with director Justin Anderson and actor Brad Raymond about this musical adaptation.
  • 18:40: Kyle Brooks, also known as Black Cat Tips, is an Atlanta illustrator, folk artist, and now author. His new book “Smile A While” is his first children’s book that is filled with funny stories and his own illustrations. He will be doing a book singing and reading on Thursday, Aug. 8 at The Grove from 10 a.m.-noon.
  • 33:08:  Lois Reitzes spoke with author Joshilyn Jackson about her newest novel “Never Have I Ever.” There will be a book launch party and meet-and-greet at Eagle Eye Books in Decatur on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m.
