Thursday on “City Lights with Lois Reitzes”:

  • 1:39: Lois Reitzes talks with singer/songwriter Rhonda Ross about her American musical legacy. A child of Motown, Ross is in town for the Atlanta Jazz Festival, where she’ll perform with her husband, pianist Rodney Kendrick on May 25.
  • 20:54: Atlanta Symphony Orchestra music director Robert Spano joins Reitzes for a discussion about the ASO’s upcoming broadcast featuring Mozart and Verdi. You can listen to the ASO broadcast May 26 at 8 PM on WABE.
  • 35:47: “The Cake” is a play about a small town who is called upon by her best friend’s daughter to make a wedding cake for her and her bride. Lead actor Marcie Millard and director Lauren Morris join Reitzes to talk about the production at Horizon Theatre, onstage through June 23.
