Friday on “City Lights with Lois Reitzes”:

  • 1:16: Lois Reitzes talks with author and professor Stephen Greenblatt about his book “Tyrant: Shakespeare on Politics.”
  • 13:37: Jeff Watkins and Chris Kayser of the Shakespeare Tavern join Reitzes to talk about their production of “King Lear.” The play runs through Nov. 24.
  • 29:34: Reitzes sits down with John Maschinot and Teresa Finley to find out about this year’s IrishFest. Maschinot also plays the uilleann pipes live in the studio. IrishFest takes place from Nov. 8 and 9.
  • 38:48: Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Conductor Donald Runnicles and guest soloist James Ehnes speak with Reitzes about their upcoming performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. Ehnes will perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on Nov. 7.
