Friday on “City Lights with Lois Reitzes”:

  • 1:17: Where do we go after Wakanda? That was Auburn Avenue Research Centers first conversation last year when the blockbuster Black Panther came to theaters. This year, they’re hosting their second community conversation about the relationships between Black Americans and Africans in relation to the fictitious Utopia of Wakanda.
  • 27:47: Burnaway, the Atlanta web publication has been covering the arts in Atlanta and Southeast for ten years. They’re preparing to throw their annual fundraiser, Art Crush, this weekend. Lois spoke with editor Logan Lockner and executive director Erin Jane Nelson about what is going on at Art Crush this year.
  • 31:30: The quartet, Sons of Serendip, appeared on the show “America’s Got Talent” in 2014 and they’ve quickly become an audience favorite. Their unique combination of classical, jazz, pop and R&B fusion sets them apart from other music groups. Lois talked with them ahead of their performance at Spivey Hall this weekend.
