Today it’s a special edition of the program profiling Atlanta area graduates.

  • 0:00: But first, Rose gives a news brief on Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s finalized budget for the upcoming fiscal year — he signed the budget this morning in South Georgia.
  • 4:02: Closer Look’s graduation series has featured conversations with graduating seniors at local area colleges in order to hear their outlooks, dreams and the journeys they’ve taken to earn their degrees.  We hear from three Agnes Scott College students with a STEM focus. Rowen Webb-Forgus, astrophysics major, Brynn Presler-Marshall, astrophysics major, and Eleanor Petit-Kruse, a neuroscience major.
  • 31:15: Closer Look’s conversations with area graduates continue with Morehouse College computer science and mathematics student Ernest Holmes. Holmes shares his personal journey, passion for working with youth interested in STEM, and future plans to work at Google as a software engineer.
  • 47:40: We get a sneak preview of “Closer Look’s” recent visit to Sanskrit Moon, a new yoga studio in Hapeville. We’ll hear more of our conversation from the owner of the business, Chandra Fowler, on our next installment of the “Open for Business” series.
