- 9:29: Last month online retail giant, Amazon, announced it was looking for a location for its second headquarters. The company has asked for proposals, from interested cities, to be submitted by Oct. 19. Several Georgia cities are competing to become the home for Amazon’s HQ2. The city of Stonecrest says it would de-annex some of its land and name it the city of Amazon. Jason Lary, mayor of the city of Stonecrest, talks about the city’s efforts to attract Amazon.
