  • 22:49: In 1995, Dr. Bill Warren left his practice in Sandy Springs and began serving patients out of a spare room in a local church. This was the beginning of the Good Samaritan Health Center, which opened its doors in downtown Atlanta in 1999. Today, the organization has a full-time staff and volunteers who work to provide health services to communities in Atlanta with limited access to affordable healthcare.  “Closer Look” recently took a trip inside the center, which includes medical facilities, a farm, and a recently-opened fresh food market.
  • 41:46: Mike Glenn’s All-Star Basketball Camp for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will celebrate 40 years this June. The former NBA player, known as “the Stinger,” joins “Closer Look” in studio to share where his commitment to the deaf and hard of hearing community comes from.
