  • 38:02: The nation’s adult obesity rate has reached 39.6%, according to a 2018 report from the Trust for America’s Health. Rates are even higher among Latinos and African-Americans.  A recent study took a look at the connection between obesity and the black faith community. Dr. Keisha L. Bentley-Edwards, lead author of the study, “Investigating Denominational and Church Attendance Differences in Obesity and Diabetes in Black Christian Men and Women,” joins “Closer Look” from a studio at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina to discuss her findings.
