- 23:08: A team of researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology have been selected to study and explore the Thwaites Glacier in West Antarctica. The massive glacier is melting and may collapse in coming decades, contributing to a significant rise in global sea levels. The Georgia Tech team has a developed an autonomous vehicle called “Icefin,” which will explore the geology beneath the glacier’s surface. We’re joined by Matt Meister, a research engineer at Georgia Tech and lead engineer for “Icefin”, and Justin Lawrence, a PhD student in Planetary Science at Georgia Tech.
- 41:31: Our series on recent graduates from local colleges and universities continues with Vincent Martin, who recently received his second master’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
