WABE Cinema Social is a monthly film club for Atlanta’s curious, culture-loving community—bringing people together for themed conversations and thoughtfully chosen films at the Tara or Plaza Theatres on the second Saturday of every month.
Join us July 11th at The Plaza Theatre for Forrest Gump. A man with a low IQ has accomplished great things in his life and been present during significant historic events—in each case, far exceeding what anyone imagined he could do. But despite all he has achieved, his one true love eludes him.
You will also enjoy a pre-show interview with Raven Holstick, Transition and Employment Coordinator at the Georgia Department of Veterans Service, and Mr. Lavert Jones, Vietnam veteran.
