WABE Cinema Social is a monthly film club for Atlanta’s curious, culture-loving community—bringing people together for themed conversations and thoughtfully chosen films at the Tara or Plaza Theatres on the second Saturday of every month.

Join us June 13th at The Tara Atlanta for Miss Juneteenth. Turquoise, a former beauty queen turned hardworking single mother, prepares her rebellious teenage daughter for the “Miss Juneteenth” pageant, hoping to keep her from repeating the same mistakes in life that she did.

You will also enjoy a pre-show interview with award-winning journalist and host of the WABE midday news program “Closer Look”, Rose Scott and poet, speaker, author, and event host, Amena Brown!
