Closer Look Juneteenth LIVE taping!
Join WABE, Rose and guests at The Hammond’s House Museum on Wednesday, June 18th for some compelling conversations. This year’s theme is Natural Gifts – honoring the contributions of enslaved Africans and Black Americans pre-civil war to the present.
The topics will include but are not limited to:
- Language
- Architecture
- Medicine/Healing
- Agricultural knowledge and techniques
- Religious/Spiritual Practices
- Arts
**The event will be held outside, so please plan and dress accordingly**

Parking: They have a full parking lot located in the left rear of the building on Lucile Ave (one way street).
If riding in one large group vehicle (bus/Van),drop in front of the Museum and then park in parking lot.
Patrons with disabilities needing assistance going up stairs should park in the lot to use the tiered stairs or if a wheelchair lift is needed, they have an elevator lift. Please call 404-612-0481 to let them know ahead of time and to get directions to the lift.
