Celebrate 20 Years of Stories at the Decatur Book Festival!

Join us in downtown Decatur, GA on October 3 and 4, 2025, as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Decatur Book Festival.

This milestone year will feature more than 100 national, regional, and local authors for a dynamic weekend of thought-provoking conversations, book signings, cooking demonstrations, live performances, an expanded street fair, engaging children’s activities, and special community events.

Headlining authors include Saeed Jones, Angie Thomas, Stacey Abrams, Mary Roach, Jason Mott, and many others. From fiction to poetry, science to memoir, the festival showcases diverse voices and ideas that inspire and connect.

• Admission is free and open to all.  However, we recommend registering for Friday’s special evening events:
  • (6:00 p.m.) Kidnote with Angie Thomas and the
  • (7:00 p.m.) Keynote with Saeed Jones.

Please note that all remaining festival sessions will take place on Saturday, October 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
