Former White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier is a man who thrives under pressure.

His tenure at The White House spanned from Jimmy Carter to George W. Bush, and during that time Mesnier served thousands of handcrafted deserts to diplomats and dignitaries from all over the globe.

Mesnier has a new book chronicling the recipes and stories behind many of his famous deserts. He joined “City Lights”to talk about the book.

He will also be speaking at the Jimmy Carter Center Monday at 7 p.m.
