A Fresh Take On A Cult Classic At Out Front Theatre

The play “Sordid Lives” debuted in Los Angeles in 1996 and went on to become a cult classic feature film in 2000. It’s since been adapted into a TV series and even a 2017 movie sequel – “A Very Sordid Wedding.”

The adaptations continue this weekend at Out Front Theatre n a new production featuring an African-American cast as the main family.

On “City Lights,” Lois Reitzes spoke with director Jacob Demlow and actor Jason-Jamal Ligon about their show.

“Sordid Lives” opens tonight and runs through May 20 at Out Front Theatre. Playwright Del Shores will visit during the last weekends for special event programming.
