Georgia lawmakers have finished the 2018 legislative session.

Things came to a close just after midnight Thursday, after months of activity under the Gold Dome.

Lawmakers passed a number of notable bills, including one establishing a regional transit system for metro Atlanta and one banning holding a cellphone while driving.

But many bills didn’t make it, like one that would give victims of child sexual abuse more time to sue their alleged abusers.

WABE government and politics reporter Johnny Kauffman joined Denis O’Hayer on “Morning Edition” to sort through what passed and is headed to the desk of Gov. Nathan Deal.
