Tuesday was a big deadline for Gov. Nathan Deal.

It was the last day for him to sign or veto measures sent to his desk by Georgia lawmakers during the 2018 legislative session.

He waited until the last minute to act on a few controversial measures. One would allow residents to vote to create the new city of Eagle’s Landing from the existing city of Stockbridge in Henry County. The other would make unauthorized computer access illegal.

WABE government and politics reporter Johnny Kauffman joined Denis O’Hayer on “Morning Edition” to discuss Deal’s decisions.
