Author and Holocaust survivor, Simon Wiesenthal is responsible for bringing nearly 1,100 war criminals to justice.

“When history looks back,” Wiesenthal once said, “I want people to know the Nazis weren’t able to kill millions of people and get away with it.”

In his one-man show, actor and playwright, Tom Dugan portrays his monumental career.

He’s performing onstage at the Strand Theater in Marietta through June 2. Dugan has performed this show for over a decade now.

“I always wanted to honor his participation in history and I hadn’t found a way of doing that. Now, I’m a playwright and an actor, but I hadn’t found a way of doing it,” Dugan continues, “but later in life when I read about Whisenthal’s rejections of collective guilt [for surviving the Holocaust], that’s when I got the idea to right the play. That really resonated with me.”
