We asked listeners about their experiences with online learning. Here, mom Xzandria Armstrong and her 8-year-old daughter, Ava Bones, talk about what it’s been like for their family.

During their conversation, Armstrong tells her daughter about what she likes about the switch.

“I guess the one thing that I like most about online learning is that I’m able to see some of the things that you were weak at, and I guess I didn’t notice that while you were in school,” she tells her. “And so I’m able to kind of help you with that. And then I do like spending extra time with you and doing fun activities with you. So that’s definitely fun.”

Ava also likes that personal touch.

“I get way more help on my work,” she tells her mom.
