Jason Carter Run for Governor Part of Long-Range Democratic Recovery Drive

  On Thursday, November 7, 2013, Atlanta Democratic State Senator Jason Carter announced he is running for Governor in 2014.  Carter is a grandson of former President, and former Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter.  But Jason Carter’s run is not about reviving his grandfather’s legacy; it’s part of a long-range drive for the future of the Georgia Democratic Party, according to University of Georgia political scientist Charles Bullock III.  He spoke with WABE’s Denis O’Hayer.
