June 9 Election Day: Georgia Candidates Release Watch Party Details

Statewide and local candidates are gearing up for Georgia’s upcoming Election Day.

Candidates seeking to represent Georgians in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the U.S. Senate are planning ways to commemorate the state’s primaries Tuesday.

We’ve reached out to the candidates on the ballot for the U.S. Senate and the local U.S. House of Representatives seats. Here are the virtual and in-person events these hopefuls are planning to host Tuesday night.

Virtual

Carolyn Bourdeaux, Democratic candidate for the 7th Congressional District, is hosting a Facebook live town hall with supporters at 7 p.m. 

District 9 U.S. Rep Democratic candidate Dan Wilson will have an open discussion through Zoom as the polls close at 7 p.m. More details are on his Facebook event page.

Republican U.S. Rep candidate for District 6 Karen Handel will be on Facebook Live at 7 p.m. to give election night updates.

Marckeith DeJesus, Democratic U.S. Senate candidate running for Sen. David Perdue’s seat, will be having a virtual campaign party at 7:30 p.m. More details are available on DeJesus’s Facebook event page.

Democratic candidate for the 7th Congressional District Zahra Karinshak will host a virtual election watch party at 7:30 p.m. on Facebook Live. 

Teresa Tomlinson, Democratic U.S. Senate candidate running for Sen. David Perdue’s seat, will have a virtual election night celebration on Facebook Live at 7:30 p.m.

The Rev. Dan Wilson, Democratic candidate for the 9th Congressional District, is having an election evening celebration through Zoom at 7 p.m. His Facebook event page has more information.

In-Person

Democratic candidate for U.S. Rep District 5 Barrington Martin II is having a gathering at Manuels Tavern at 7 p.m.

Republican candidate for U.S. Rep District 6 Joe Profit will have a get together at the campaign office in Marietta. Social distancing will be in effect during the event.

Matthew Gurtler, Republican candidate for the 9th Congressional District, is planning a victory party at Rumor Hazit, 173 N. Main Street, Clayton, at 7:30 p.m. More information is available on Gurtler’s Facebook event page.
