Leader Of the New Georgia Project Discusses Pending Lawsuit, Several Election-Related Topics

Nsé Ufot, the chief executive officer of the New Georgia Project (NGP), says in 2020, Georgia had a historically high level of voter participation amongst all groups of people—and the state’s new voter law is a way to insert the will of Republican lawmakers for the will of the people.

“That’s how our leaders thank us for risking our health and our lives in the middle of a pandemic to participate in a democracy to choose our leaders,” said Nsé Ufot on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” while reflecting the law that Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed into law in March.

During the conversation, Ufot discussed a pending lawsuit that the NGP filed against the state of Georgia and several election-related topics.
