Times Square has New Year’s Eve. Little Five Points has Halloween.

The 19th annual Little Five Points Halloween Festival & Parade is happening on Saturday, Oct. 19.

This year, Buckhead Zesto manager Delores Slaughter was named the parade’s grand marshal.

Zesto, a restaurant franchise located in Little Five Points and throughout Atlanta, is commemorating its 70th anniversary of being in the city. Slaughter is also celebrating 41 years of working for the company.

She joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes, along with parade manager Karen Heim, to talk about keeping the weird spirit of Little Five.

“It’s hard to be odd in Little Five Points because it’s such a unique area and what better day than Halloween to be Little Five Points’ holiday,” Heim said.
