Ga. Academics Offer Recommendations To Preserve Affordable Housing During Pandemic

Even before the coronavirus pandemic, Atlanta had an affordable housing crisis.
Now, with the pandemic, more Americans are facing additional challenges, and finances are atop the list.
Atlantans, who may have been laid off due to economic fallout from the spread of the coronavirus, are being confronted with paying high rent costs along with their other reoccurring expenses.
A Georgia State University urban studies professor and a group of other academics outlined policy recommendations to support the preservation of affordable housing in Atlanta.
Professor Dan Immergluck recently joined “Closer Look” to share his perspective about how to preserve housing affordability during the COVID-19 crisis.
