The Decide DeKalb Development Authority is working to reimagine and boost economic development for the Memorial Drive corridor near MARTA’s Kensington Station in DeKalb County.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Dorian DeBarr, president of the Decide DeKalb Development Authority, said the authority is seeking small business owners, property owners and developers to apply for the Kensington Tax Allocation District (TAD) grant program.

Under the program, DeBarr says, the Authority is working to redevelop more than 200 acres of land to improve the community.

“We have two programs that are open right now,” explained DeBarr. “One is for site improvements and grants programming. The other is around safety, security and a greenspace grant.”
