Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed is endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. He’s one of more than 50 African-American mayors and former mayors who made the announcement Tuesday.
“She has the proven leadership capability to be president of the United States during very difficult times,” Reed said. “I think that, given the breadth and depth of her service to the country, that she is the right person in this race.”
East Point Mayor Jannquell Peters also endorsed Clinton, as did former Atlanta mayors Andrew Young and Shirley Franklin.
