The Atlanta Braves’ decision to move to Cobb County in three years has left Atlanta and Fulton County asking, “What now?” and, perhaps, “What if…?”
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said Turner Field will be demolished when the Braves leave.
The Mayor promised the City would soon be able to make what he called “a pretty significant announcement” about a development for middle class residents in the approximately 60 acres in the area.
But Fulton County Commission Chairman John Eaves said “This information is news to me.” Eaves spoke with WABE’s Denis O’Hayer.
