ptpMetro Atlanta voting is well underway. If you’re interested in voting before Nov. 8, check out the details below on voter identification and early voting locations within metro Atlanta from Oct. 31 – Nov. 6, 2016.

What You Need To Vote

According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s website, there are specific forms of identification that you’ll need in order to post your vote. There are six forms of identification that provides you a ballot in the state of Georgia. The voter identification requirements include:

  • A valid state or federal government-issued ID
  • Georgia driver’s license
  • Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency or entity of the U.S. government or the state of Georgia
  • Valid U.S. passport ID
  • Valid U.S. military photo ID
  • Valid tribal photo ID

If you don’t have one of the above identification documents and would still like to vote in the upcoming election, you can apply for a voter identification card. This is a free identification card issued from any county registrar’s office or DDS location. View the requirements for obtaining a voter identification card from the Secretary of State’s office.
